Vorsen With His Staggering Track “Easier”

Sensational artist Vorsen is the name for London-based, British/Australian producer Oliver Halvorsen. Having relocated at a young age to Western Australia from London, Oliver spent most of his youth playing with teenage bands and dabbling in guitar, making mediocre recordings in his bedroom. Having composed and recorded hundreds of songs at his parents’ house, he was invited to study at the Western Academy of Performing Arts and spent the following years creating melancholic /alternative pop in his parents’ house. After cutting his teeth in studios and learning from some of Perth’s most notable producers (Joel Quatermaine/Andrew Lawson), Oliver moved back to his birth town of London and joined the UK act ‘NIGHT FLIGHT’. While touring and playing with NIGHT FLIGHT, Oliver released his debut single ’Say All the Right Things’ in 2019 which was featured on Triple J’s ‘5 Best New Songs of the Week’ and received praise from triple J presenters and other major radio stations back in Australia. The track was considered an “instant classic” (Chillfiltr) or as Claire Mooney (triple J)  put it – “so special.” Afterward, he continued to produce for a handful of other artists and wrote top-line melodies for tracks that were later released on Armada records. In 2020, Oliver began work on his forthcoming EP ‘Real Life’ in the bedroom of his London flat after the end of a significant relationship. Having produced these songs in his bedroom, Vorsen weaves lush atmospheric textures with percussive elements of his immediate surroundings to create a seamless mesh of the musician’s past endeavors. His warm, intimate vocals deliver the melancholic melodies of each song in a way that is both gut-wrenching and uplifting. Oliver continues to successfully juxtapose the emotion in his lyrics with bold and organic production that is simply stunning. Following the release of his newest single “Easier” he presents a captivating sound that will certainly grasp your attention. Beginning with dreamy instrumentation leading onto his smooth and luscious vocals he completes the song fully. Explaining the track a bit further it depicts the difficulty in accepting that it’s okay to depend on another person during a period of hardship. To the vocals and production this single will surely have you vibing and singing along to the lyrics. It would be just great for a drive during sunset or hanging out with some friends. Go stream “Easier” and check out his discography which is filled with outstanding music.
