Scott Tyler Schwartz Introduces His Soothing Single “Guinea Pig”

An outstanding artist known as Scott Tyler Schwartz is the frontman of The Shadowboxers, a harmony-singing pop/soul trio from Atlanta, GA. In their decade together, the band has recorded and toured with artists ranging from the Indigo Girls to Justin Timberlake, and in 2019 they wrote and recorded their first self-produced, full-length album, which they released the following year. It was during this time that Scott felt the need for individual artistic expression, and began the process of defining what that would look like. Then came the pandemic of 2020, and locked down at home with his guitar and a mic, Scott began to write and record himself from his basic home studio. What began as harmless songwriting and simple productions morphed into a soulful singer/songwriter finding his real voice, and learning how to record it. With the release of his debut newest single “Guinea Pig,” he presents a very nostalgic sound that will surely intrigue your ears. Starting with dreamy instrumentation leading onto his sweet and ear-catching vocals he completes the single entirely. Explaining the song further it’s about falling in love with someone giving them your all and them not recuperating the same energy using you and leaving you all alone having you feel like you were just a “Guinea Pig”. This single really captured my attention within the first 10 seconds, it holds a such deep meaning that I’m sure many could relate, being so in love and eventually getting played. To the vocals and production, this track will certainly have you in a calm but yet comforting mood knowing things will be okay. It would be just perfect for a late-night drive or alone within your thoughts. Go stream “Guinea Pig” and be on the lookout for new releases from this talented artist.

My husband and I loved your review. We, too, were into the sound immediately. Scott’s voice and excellent background music are soulful, soothing and compelling. We’ll keep playing it and look forward to hearing more from the album. GUINEA PIG! What an original name for the song and album. It evokes tender thoughts!
