PELA Introduces Their magnificent Track “Heavy”

Upcoming South London-based duo PELA began as a studio project in the Spring of 2019 linking the visions of Hannah Coombes and Olly Shelton. Their lo-fi, electronic and vocally driven sound combines free melodies, textured beats, and spirited lyricism. PELA explores themes of life, living and loving, with the intention to bring positivity to the wide, confusing world of today. Together, their experiences working with the likes of London Contemporary Voices and the Roundhouse Choir have led them to perform with artists such as MIA, Young Fathers, ESKA, Basement Jaxx, Imogen Heap, Nitin Sawney, Keane, Elena Tonra, Orlando Weeks, Willy Mason and many more at venues like the Barbican, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, the Roundhouse and Glastonbury. Following the release of their newest track “Heavy”, they present a dreamy sound that will surely grasp your attention. Beginning with vibrant instrumentation leading onto their bright and luscious vocals they complete the single fully. Explaining the song a bit further it branches out into a hypnotizing bracket of its own, reflecting on “darkness and dissatisfaction” whilst simultaneously placing a focus on sounding uplifting and hopeful – it’s instantly connectable, bringing a down-to-earth sonic aesthetic that PELA has made their own. To the vocals and production, this single will definitely have you dancing and possibly taking you to a place of calm and comfort. Being just great for a day out on the beach or taking a drive during sunset. Go stream “Heavy” and check out their discography which is filled with sparkling tracks.
