KTEE has always lived and breathed music. From the earliest moments of her childhood in the small Austrian town of Maria Neustift, she was already shaping her voice into an expressive force. Armed with nothing but her mother’s bulky red tape recorder and an unwavering dedication, she spent countless hours in her room, recording, listening, analyzing, and fine-tuning her vocals one pop song at a time. It was the beginning of a lifelong journey fueled by curiosity, self-discovery, and an unstoppable drive to turn her passion into a career.
In 2007, after a life-changing move to Ireland, KTEE’s relationship with music took a deeper turn. It was there that she discovered her love for songwriting, an outlet that allowed her to translate feelings into melody, confusion into clarity. This phase marked the start of her search for a distinct musical identity—a search that, while long and winding, only strengthened her voice as both a singer and a storyteller.
Her breakthrough moment came in 2017 with the release of “Rollercoaster,” a dynamic pop track comparing the highs and lows of love to the thrilling unpredictability of a ride at an amusement park. It resonated deeply, earning a spot as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and helping establish her as a talent worth watching.
What followed was a series of tracks that each unveiled a new layer of her artistry. “So What” came in early 2018, brimming with defiance and self-confidence. It served as both an anthem and a mantra—an embrace of imperfection, a dismissal of fear, and a call to live unapologetically. The song’s message captured KTEE’s evolution from a shy child into a strong woman with a clear voice, and it earned her attention on UK radio.
Then came “Melody” in 2019, a love song where music became a metaphor for emotional connection. Its poetic heart and tender vocals helped it reach audiences across Germany, England, and Switzerland, once again placing her in the semi-finals of the ISC. With “Rich,” KTEE shifted gears, offering a vibrant, feel-good reminder that wealth isn’t about money but about the aliveness of everyday moments.
She kept the momentum going with “Louder,” her biggest success to date, earning widespread international airplay. “Your Place,” released in 2020, radiated warm summer energy, while 2021’s emotionally charged “Push and Pull” and the ballad “Buried Alive” demonstrated her range and depth as a songwriter unafraid to explore vulnerability.
Now, KTEE returns with “Red Flag,” a punchy, emotionally honest single that dives into the kind of love we know is wrong but chase anyway. With powerful lyrics like “You only call me when you’re drunk… thank god I can’t see a red flag in the dark,” she captures the haunting truth of knowingly ignoring the warning signs. Sonically, the song leans into polished pop with a danceable pulse and bold, Ava Max-like energy, delivering both catharsis and catchiness in equal measure.
“Red Flag” is more than just a pop song—it’s a mirror. It reflects the emotional blind spots we all encounter when passion clouds judgment. KTEE has turned her own moments of vulnerability into a track that’s honest, relatable, and ready for the dance floor. And with every note, she proves once again that her journey from a bedroom in Austria to the global stage is only just beginning.
