Kev Kelly Introduces His Exquisite Single “Tilt”

Upcoming artist Kev Kelly started playing piano at just four years old. His passion for music blossomed as he grew older and he learned to skillfully write lyrics and bring his unique sound to his recordings and the stage. His songs are based on personal experiences which he hopes the listeners can relate to and connect to him through. His musical influences include Frank Ocean, John Legend, Otis Redding, and Sam Cooke. He loves classic songwriting coupled with skilled performance, and this can be heard on his debut EP Saint KDK V. Kelly says, “In order to be ordained a Saint, you need to perform a miracle and this EP is my miracle. With this EP, I wanted to show I’m capable of doing more than just one thing. There’s a variety from one song to the next. Each song presents a setting and a plot as if it was a mini-movie while containing a common thread. A relationship beginning in ‘Neighbors,’ it being on the rocks in ‘Oh My My,’ it ending in ‘Everything’s on Fire’ and looking back on the relationship with regret, heartache, and love in ‘Soon’.” Following the release of his newest single “Tilt”, he projects a captivating sound that will certainly intrigue your ears. Beginning with bright instrumentation leading onto his sweet and smooth vocals he captures the song fully. Explaining the track a bit further Kev says “It was the first job I ever had was as a lifeguard. I worked at a country club in Kentucky that had mostly young families and what I guess you would consider “new money”. It’s a pretty conservative place so I was shocked to find out after my second week working there it was basically a swingers club. Kids I went to school with, their dads would come off the course and leave with Mrs. Jones and Mr. Jones would take their mom out for “dinner”. God damn. Church that Sunday must have been awkward for the people. Body of Christ indeed. So don’t text me asking if this song is about your family. If the shoe fits…”. To the vocals and production, this single will surely have your head bumping. Being just perfect for a drive during sunset or a day out on the beach. Go stream “Tilt”.
