Amazing artist James Hall is a new artist whose previous project Fine Creatures gained BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music support. He was also previously in an experimental solo project called ZAD!BOY where he received Apple Music Playlisting and BBC Introducing Interest. His music can be best described as lyrically melancholy but with a strong “major key” pop sensibility with influences ranging from The 1975 to the Go-Go Dolls. His Debut Single “Capricious” released on 28th January has received BBC Sussex Radio Play, BBC Introducing support, and numerous Play-listing. With the release of his newest single “Sometimes,” he projects a vibrant sound that will certainly grasp your attention. Beginning with bright instrumentation leading onto his sweet and catchy vocals he captures the song entirely. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about self-awareness and ultimately self-acceptance. Musically it takes influence from modern 80’s sounding pop bands such as The 1975 and Valley, Its upbeat major key melodies, gives a sense of optimism and hope which matches the lyrics and its themes of self-improvement. To the vocals and production, this single will surely have you jamming out. Being just perfect for a drive during sunset or hanging out with some friends.
