Talented artist ITUA has been working in the music scene for over twelve years. Starting out as a drummer and backing vocalist for the indie rock band Hunting the Robot at the age of twelve, performing and touring internationally as a live drummer for Thomas Azier, BEA1991, and Klyne. Playing support shows for acts such as Years & Years, Christine and The Queen, and Metronomy. The young singer/songwriter/producer is now ready to break out with his Nigerian birthname ‘’ITUA’’. Blending his deep love for Afropop, hip-hop, modern R&B, and indie music, ITUA brings something completely new to the international music scene. Being a Dutch/Nigerian kid raised in a religious household, Itua has always felt a bit disconnected from his dutch peers. From the age of 9 Itua tends to music to create a world that is truly his. ITUA talks about, love, depression, happiness, and the importance of staying true to yourself. He wants his listeners to be freed from made expectations and feel comfortable in creating their own path to happiness. Hitting you with simple but thoughtfully crafted lyrics.
