Isabel LaRosa is a talented musician who has always been surrounded by music. Growing up, her father played saxophone and her brother played guitar at local jazz jams and open mic nights in Annapolis. Even though her mother wasn’t a musician, she raised Isabel and her brother on a diet of classic rock and salsa. Isabel and her brother started writing their own music in elementary and middle school, and they even released some of their songs on iTunes as a duo called “LaRosa.” When Isabel was in high school, she and her brother decided to release music as individuals, even though their writing process remained the same. Recently, Isabel released her newest track “I’m yours,” which is inspired by the feeling of having a crush on someone who you’re not dating but want to be more than friends with. The song captures the rush of emotions as you get closer to this person physically and emotionally. When writing “I’m yours,” Isabel and her brother wanted to give listeners the feeling of driving fast with the windows down, finally losing their inhibitions and letting that special someone in.
