Amazing artist Ibby VK is a Dubai born and raised, who is a Pop, Folk, Indie, & Acoustic singer/songwriter. After graduating high school, he was led to study chemical engineering but never felt the same passion for anything quite like music. Being raised in a multicultural family of Armenian / Syrian descent has impacted his songwriting and molded it into a unique style, inspired by personal stories, struggles, and everyday life, as well as addressing topics ranging from your standard ballads and love songs to self-acceptance, his signature break-up songs, and even death. Deciding to pursue music as a career path was not an easy choice as it meant leaving behind a life of stable incomes and comfort, as well as having to face constant criticism and rejection from a community that believes music can never be anything more than a hobby. Thankfully, Ibby focused his time, effort, and all of his energy on making music a full-time job, playing at residencies in restaurants, hotels, and lounges, which paid the bills as well as funded his original music. In 2017, he was so focused on kick-starting this music career that he ended up performing at more than 220+ gigs, most of which were not paid, just to get to a point where he could support himself. Now that he is an established artist in the Dubai music scene, it is time to take his music to the next level and try to get into international charts, with success on some streaming platforms such as Apple Music, Anghami, Deezer, Shazam, etc… as well as his latest song accumulating more than 100k streams on Spotify in under 5 months, which is a first for an independent Dubai based singer/songwriter. He has since been interviewed by the likes of “Virgin Radio” in Dubai and was the first artist to be interviewed on “Pulse 95” which is Sharjah’s first English radio station. Beginning with bright instrumentation leading onto his smooth and sweet vocals he completes the song fully.
