I Am Boleyn x Dear Sara With Their Delightful Single “Taking My Time”

Introducing two astounding artists who have come together to present an amazing song called “Taking My Time”. Getting to know these artists a bit I Am Boleyn spends her time shuttling between London and Stockholm, working with Swedish-based music production collective FMLY STHLM and Johannes Willinder. Influenced by Robyn, Annie, Goldfrapp, and MS MR, her take on electro-pop brims with hints of neon-lit 80’s Berlin bars with a futuristic twist of Blade Runner. I Am Boleyn grew up in St. Petersburg, Russia, went to Oxford University to study history, and has been writing songs since she was young. After the release of her first single ‘Too Much’ she played sold-out ‘Dazzling’ (Daily Mail) shows at the Peppermint Club in Los Angeles, Laylow in London, and Art Basel Miami. The F9 remix of ‘Too Much’ charted at number 12 in the UK Club Charts in December 2019. In January 2020 her music video for her single ‘Limit of Love’ was shortlisted for the London Music Video Festival. She performed her single ‘Another Me’ for the digital concert #ivoted festival on November 3rd for the US elections and ‘Another Me’ was added to Spotify’s Editorial playlist ‘RetroWave/Outrun’. Her EP ‘Paris to Berlin’ featuring ‘Another Me’ came out in March 2021 and has nearly 1 million streams. As well as Dear Sara who grew up on the northern border of Sweden, in a household of reindeer keepers. She’s part of an indigenous group called the Sámis, a native minority based in Sápmi – an area in the northern parts of Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Russia’s Kola peninsula. Sara’s dreams and talent took her all the way to Atlanta and LA, where she learned a lot about herself while collaborating with producers and songwriters in the music industry. It made her grow and taught her to give her own decisions time, which people she wanted to collaborate with, and maybe the most important of all, to trust her gut feeling. In 2020 she teamed up with FEM. and Northbound Music Group and debuted as the lead singer on JIM OUMA’s rebellious single ‘Kids’ featuring UK dancehall queen Alicaì Harley. The catchy song got shared by numerous media sites and has been used in 1400 videos created by TikTokers all over the world. Dear Sara launched her new music in 2021 with the powerful single “Something You Should Know”, written by herself and fellow Northbound-signed Elias Näslin, who recently got nominated for an American Grammy with his contribution “Slow Cooker” on John Legend’s latest album. With the release of their newest single “Taking My Time,” they project a stunning sound that will surely grasp your ears. Beginning with dreamy instrumentation leading onto their bright and luscious vocals they capture the song entirely. Explaining the track a bit further they wrote it together after a discussion about their homes and the traditions that can get lost when people head into big cities and forget where they are from.
