Talented artist Hanna ögonsten was born in Åkersberga, a suburb outside of Stockholm. She grew up with her three siblings and her divorced parents, she describes it as ‘’sometimes tough, but very creative.’’ Her father worked with excavators and her mother was an assistant nurse. They gave her the middle name ’Ögonsten’ – which is a Swedish saying for ‘’apple of my eye’’. She taught herself guitar, piano, and music production in her bedroom at a young age. In her teenage years, she got accepted to the leading music school in Sweden, Musikmakarna, where artists such as LÉON, Augustine, and NEIKED went. During her time at the school, she came in contact with the music industry for the first time and wrote songs that appeared on Swedish Television, Vogue Paris, Triple J, and JAY-Z’s management, and in 2019 she opened for Anna Of The North on her tour in Stockholm. Her debut single, ‘Bang My Head’ got recognition all over the internet and got featured in New Music Friday on Spotify. With the release of her newest single “Goodbye My Darling”, she projects a dreamy sound that will certainly captivate your ears. Beginning with soothing instrumentation leading onto her sweet and luscious vocals she completes the track fully. Explaining the song a bit further it’s about taking farewell and letting go, as the saying goes; every end is a new beginning. To the vocals and production, this single will definitely have you dancing and singing along to the lyrics. It would be just perfect for a drive during sunset or a day out on the beach.
