Gimme Gimme is a musical duo comprised of Will and Esther, who grew up in a small country town in New South Wales. From a young age, they learned to play the violin from their mother, with incentives for practicing regularly. After Will moved to Berlin for love and Esther moved to Melbourne for its great weather, they wrote music inspired by their 90s Rage addictions and caught up annually to play together. In September 2019, Gimme Gimme recorded their debut album in Berlin, produced by Tim Granbacka and featuring LA-based artist Van Hunt. The album was later mixed and mastered by Nick Herrera, one of Melbourne’s finest musical engineers. Their newest single “So Far Away” is part of Gimme Gimme’s sophomore EP “Dessert for Dinner” via Havêa Records. The dreamy focus track was written at a time when both Esther and Will had lovers on opposite ends of the globe. It’s a song about longing, passion, and how distance can make the heart grow fonder. It captures the pain of not being able to be in the same space as someone you love and adore. Gimme Gimme has booked shows in Germany, Ireland, Denmark, Greece, and Switzerland, and has toured up and down the east and west coasts of Australia, selling out venues and having a great time.
