Alex Rosales is a talented singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a passion for R&B music. Born in Santa Ana, California, and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Alex developed a love for music at a young age, writing his first song at the age of 11. Growing up, he was influenced by traditional Mexican music, but it was the sound of R&B that really captured his attention and sparked his musical journey. Alex’s musical talent was quickly recognized, and by age 18, he had signed a management deal with William Woodson, a former La Face records songwriter. With Woodson’s help, Alex went on to win “Best Male Vocalist” in the Indianapolis Black Expo talent show. In his early 20s, Alex established himself as a producer in Indianapolis, but a phone call from a former teacher would lead him down a new path. Luis Morales, his former high school ESL teacher, invited him to lead the newly formed Spanish rock band Mantra. The band quickly gained popularity in the Midwest, opening for Enanitos Verdes and Alejandra Guzman, and even touring with Spanish pop band Belanova. In 2011, Alex made the move to Los Angeles, where he caught the attention of Warner Music A&R executive Mike Caren through a Facebook message. This led to writing sessions and the opportunity to produce Spanish remixes of current top 40 hits. In 2014, another chance encounter on Facebook led to the opportunity to produce music for Ashley Poole, a former Bad Boy Records, and DREAM member. This eventually led to a reunion tour for DREAM in 2016, where Alex helped produce music for the group and other artists including O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, and 98 Degrees. Alex’s newest single, “Contigo,” is a Spanish guitar-driven R&B tune with smooth vocals and a real vibe.
