Astounding act Dreamphone is an indie Dreamwave duo project by vocalist Hattie Simon & producer Seb Zel, swimming between worlds of lush orchestration, ethereal vocals, textured soundscapes, and poignant lyrics. Driven by radical shifts in texture and dynamics, their music reveals influences ranging from Sufjan Stevens, James Blake, and beyond. Their debut EP, Softer, is produced to feel like life underwater and in slow motion, carrying saccharine and surrealist sensibilities. With the release of their newest track “Green Lights Flashing,” they project a bright sound that will definitely grasp your attention. Beginning with vibrant instrumentation leading onto Hattie’s soft and sultry vocals they complete the song fully. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about trying to clear your mind, trying your best to take it one step at a time — but one small interaction can tear it all down and you’ll be back in your head again. To the vocals and production, this single will certainly have you dancing. Being just great for a late-night drive or jamming out with some friends. Go stream “Green Lights Flashing” and check out their discography which is filled with amazing music.
