Chris Youmans With His Remarkable Track “Heart of a Lie”

Outstanding artist Chris Youmans has considered music an inextricable part of his life. Growing up in Santa Cruz, found himself enthralled by legends like James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Donny Hathaway, and Whitney Houston. But one album, in particular, set him down his own path of creative musical expression: Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. By the time he was studying music at UC Berkeley, Youmans had formed a band that played jazz standards and pop covers at local clubs all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Taking cues from iconic producers like Nile Rodgers, Mark Ronson, and Max Martin, Youmans pushed his own creative boundaries, and in 2015 earned the Eisner Prize for exceptional achievement in music. After college, Youmans moved to LA to begin work on his eponymous artist project. He was profoundly inspired by his experiences in the city’s queer scene, and eventually created a new EP called Electric Love Connection. With the release of his newest single “Heart of a Lie”, he projects a spectacular sound that will surely grasp your attention. Starting with vibrant instrumentation leading onto his smooth and ear-catching vocals he completes the song fully. Explaining the track a bit further it’s a journey of surrender and self-empowerment. The song explores how one epiphany can release the tumultuous yearnings of the past and thrust the heart forward into greater possibilities and truer love. Both deeply personal and painfully relatable, both innovative and timeless, no summer playlist is complete without it. To the vocals and production, this single will definitely have you dancing and singing along to the lyrics. Being just perfect for a drive during sunset or a day out on the beach. Go stream “Heart of a Lie” and be on the look out for new music from this amazing act.
