Chris Goma is a talented artist who you should really keep your eyes on, returning to our blog once again he comes back with another refreshing track called “Smile”. If you don’t know who this act is you are surely in for a treat, Christopher Ryangoma Tabaro (born January 27, 1995), known as Chris Goma, is an American-born Canadian singer-songwriter, arranger, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California. Goma’s unique style (Hypno Funk) fuses elements of rhythm and blues, hip-hop, funk, soul, jazz, and electronic music. Chris Goma was born in Boston, Massachusetts after his parents fled the Rwandan Genocide. His father, Ignace (Ntirushwamaboko) Ryangoma, had received a full-bright scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston & walked over 100 kilometers with his then-pregnant wife, Marianne, and Goma’s older brother, Christian, in order to board a plane to the United States. In 1997, Goma’s family moved from Boston to Canada with refugee status. Goma was first introduced to music at a young age by his father. He picked up the keyboard at the age of 7. It wasn’t until he turned 12 years of age that he picked up his core instrument, the electric bass. With the release of his newest single “Smile”, he projects a bright sound that will definitely captivate your ears. Beginning with groovy instrumentation leading onto his lively and catchy vocals he completes the song fully. Explaining a bit further it’s a song from the perspective of his friend’s friend who passed, encouraging the living to continue to Smile & celebrate life, even after death. To the vocals and production, this single will certainly have you dancing. Being just perfect for a late-night drive with friends or having some fun under the sun.
