Introducing an amazing artist known as Catherine Moan she is the solo electronic pop project of Angel Jefferson from Philadelphia. Her unique combination of vintage synthesizer textures and modern pop songwriting creates a sound that nods to the past while existing in the present. Angel’s music pays tribute to the instrumentation of early Depeche Mode, the vocal delivery of Strawberry Switchblade’s Rose McDowall, and more contemporary synth-oriented artists such as Chromatics, CHVRCHES, and TR/ST. Catherine Moan started with a self-produced & released EP, followed by two singles “The Ordinary” and “Body Work” working alongside producer Trey Frye. As she works on finishing her first full-length album, on the side she recorded the cover track “Fools” which will be streaming on all platforms on April 1st.
