Introducing a talented artist known as Casey Dubie she’s a kindred spirit to the likes of Phoebe Bridgers and HAIM, Casey Dubie injects purpose and depth into her songs. The Burlington-raised, Nashville-based singer-songwriter is gearing up for the release of Half-hearted, her sophomore album produced by Micah Tawlks (COIN, Liza Anne, The Brooke, and The Bluff). The album was written a few months after the pandemic started, and helped Casey process both the world being on pause and the feelings that rear their head without the normalcy of daily life there to distract. With the release of her newest single “Blue and Golden”, she presents a nostalgic sound that will surely grasp your ears. Beginning with dreamy instrumentation leading onto her charming and luscious vocals she captures the track entirely. Explaining the song a bit further it explores the duality in all its forms: how we coexist with different parts of ourselves and aren’t able to see clearly. To the vocals and production, this single will definitely have you wanting to be dancing in a field of sunflowers. Being just perfect for a day out on the beach or taking a drive during sunset. Go stream “Blue and Golden” and check out her discography which is filled with outstanding music.
