Talented band Bluhm is based in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and consists of musicians Claire Bluhm (vocals/guitar) and Cameron John Marion (multi-instrumentalist/producer). The duo met in early 2021 and slowly began collaborating on their respective projects. Roughly a year later they formed Bluhm. The project is the intersection of their many influences such as Beach House, Sharon Van Etten, and Portishead for Claire, and Pavement, Daniel Johnston, and Elliot Smith for Cameron.
All their songs are written, recorded, and produced by Bluhm and Marion in their home studio. With the release of their newest track “Please” they project a dreamy sound that will certainly grasp your attention. Starting with soothing instrumentation leading onto their sweet and luscious vocals they capture the song entirely. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about a deteriorating relationship, weighing the options to forgive and try to rebuild or throw it all away. To the vocals and production, this single will definitely have you vibing and possibly relating to the lyrics. It would be just perfect for a drive during sunset or a day out on the beach. Go stream “Please” and check out their discography which is filled with outstanding tracks.
