Introducing Bench Warmer hailing from the wild college town of Tallahassee Florida, Bench Warmer is the project of Cameron Gilson. He got his start as a musician in 2017 and quickly wanted to showcase his work on the stages of coffee shops where no one pays attention. Gilson soon realized “huh, maybe I’m not that bad at this, but also maybe not that good yet” and in January of 2019 began production on his first single Liability. Before its release in March he decided to add on a b-side, an acoustic song that made him awkwardly cry on stage at a show weeks prior called Please Don’t Fall in Love Again. Fans of sometimes groovy indie-rock and sad acoustic songs that make you want to ugly cry will be graciously accepted as fans of Bench Warmer. Fans of anything else can also be fans of Bench Warmer because there are no rules on who can and cannot be fans of Bench Warmer, all are welcome and appreciated. With the release of his newest single “Penelope”, he presents a nostalgic sound that will surely intrigue your ears. Starting with soothing instrumentation leading onto his soothing and sultry vocals he completes the song entirely. To explain the track a bit further it’s about continuously getting hurt by the kind of girl your mom would probably be very disappointed in you for even pursuing. To the vocals and production, this single will definitely have you vibing. It would be just perfect for a late-night drive or a walk down the beach after dawn. Go stream “Penelope” and check out his discography which is filled with astounding tracks.
