Introducing a talented artist known as ASHERAH, returning to our blog she has a such amazing sound that we just couldn’t resist once again. ASHERAH is the electronic pop alias of Miami-based singer, songwriter, producer, and composer, Ariel Morer. Produced in collaboration with left-field electronic music composer, Medulasa, ASHERAH’s debut EP, Ephemeral, tells a highly personal tale of the grief process through shimmering sound design and haunting vocals. Prior to rebranding as ASHERAH, Morer began working closely with Grammy producer David Ruttenberg in her teens and saw international success when she was featured on Platinum-selling DJ/producer Klaas’s “Lift Me Up” (2016), via Universal France and Warner Music Germany, making its way onto Apple Music Germany’s #1 Dance album later that year. Her subsequent work with local Miami electronic acts paved the way for her invitation to perform with them at festivals like III Points alongside preeminent artists such as M83, Flying Lotus, the late SOPHIE, Denzel Curry, and Oneohtrix Point Never, and led to her opening for acts like The Radio Dept. Following the release of her newest single “Chasm”, she projects a nostalgic sound that will definitely intrigue your ears. Starting with dreamy instrumentation leading onto her sweet and ear-catching vocals she completes the song fully. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about a close friend who passed away of an overdose, so this record is dedicated to him. To the vocals and production, this single will surely have you vibing. Being just great for a late-night drive or walk down the beach after dawn. Go stream “Chasm” and check out her discography which is filled with outstanding tracks.
