Amazing artist Ariana Fig was born and raised in southwestern Canada, she is a jack of all trades. Her musical adventure began with playing violin in a symphony orchestra and later performing in musical theatre. She quickly moved to write her own songs at the age of 13 when her influences from 70’s rock bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones, started this young artist’s palette. Fig’s music is a product of her own, from writing and production to the guitar and vocals you hear in each of her tracks. The style is so diverse and nostalgic at once. At such a young age she has already found her voice. Following the release of her newest single “Running Man,” she presents a nostalgic sound that will definitely grasp your attention. Starting with soothing instrumentation leading onto her soft and sultry vocals she captures the song entirely. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about chasing after someone or something that’s never really in arms reach, and the feeling of isolation and pity that comes after every attempt to keep their attention. The first line of each verse displays the mental state you’re in with a person like this; apologetic and even a little confused. We all know a running man. To the vocals and production, this single will surely have you vibing and possibly relating to the lyrics. Being just perfect for a late-night drive or alone within your thoughts. Go stream “Running Man” and check out her discography which is filled with outstanding tracks.
