Arboretum Introduces Their Marvelous Track “School Kids”

Talented band Arboretum is an alternative/progressive pop group centrally based out of Nashville, TN. Made up of childhood best friends originally from the small town of Zionsville, IN, the 3 piece formed towards the end of the group’s time in high school. They’ve continued the project into their college careers. Arboretum consists of Cooper Davenport (Lead Vocals, Keys, Tenor Sax, Guitar), Evan Emsley (Vocals, Lead Guitar, Bass), and Jack Schrepferman (Production, Guitar, Bass, Keys, Alto Sax, Drums / Programming). The three make records in a collaborative process, with some common roles at certain points while undertaking more of a fluid approach to musical creation in others. On any given song, the three bounce back and forth between any instrument necessary for the recording operations in Schrepferman’s Nashville studio. This unconventional avenue of creation has led them to very concrete success, amassing over 150k streams on their debut album with solely the support of only local promotion. The band hopes to create music that scratches the itch of novelty to the listener, while holistically maintaining the comfort and digestibility required in pop music. With much love, the boys hope to connect with you through their art in any way you (as the consumer) see fit. With the release of their newest single “School Kids” they present a sensational sound that will certainly intrigue your attention. Starting with dreamy instrumentation leading onto their sweet and catchy vocals they complete the song entirely. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about the change and transition of moving into the real world as a college-aged adult, accompanied by feelings of loneliness, adjustment, and not buying into the surface-level, and shallow lifestyle that those in college and in the early 20s can so easily fall back and live. The narration questions if that lifestyle filled with drugs and one-night stands is truly what’s best for ourselves. To the vocals and production, this single will surely have you vibing and possibly relating to the lyrics. Being just great for a drive during sunset or a day out on the beach. Go stream “School Kids” and check out their discography which is filled with astounding music.
