Unruly Mane is a musical duo formed in 2015 by married couple Leea Scarola and Steven Scarola. Inspired by their Irish and Italian roots, they set out to create music that pays tribute to their heritage while also embracing rock, pop, and folk. Their debut EP, Roots, is a collection of boot-stomping sing-a-longs and emotionally-charged ballads that tell stories of love, heartbreak, and perseverance. Steve Scarola, the lead songwriter, and guitarist for Unruly Mane has a rich musical background that includes a stint with the critically acclaimed pop-rock band, Push Play. After five years with the band, Steve met Leea at Fordham University, and the two went on to form La La Lush, a group that quickly gained a loyal following in New York City and beyond. They shared stages with Grouplove, performed at SXSW, and even appeared in a GEICO commercial. Unruly Mane’s success is rooted in their passionate live performances, which have earned them a devoted fanbase across the globe. They’ve played in Kenya, Ireland, Canada, and beyond, winning over audiences with their infectious energy and heartfelt lyrics. In 2020, they hit the studio with engineer Skylar Adler to work on new material, which they plan to release throughout 2023. One of their newest tracks, “Making It,” features Andrew Pierson, a talented musician who brings his own unique style to the mix.
