Morgan Sadler is a musical artist who has been making waves in the Canadian music scene since she released her first full-length album, You Are Here, in 2012. Morgan has been singing and playing classical piano since she was young and discovered her passion for songwriting when she learned about chords. Her debut album won the Toronto Independent Music Award for “Best Song of the Year” for her track “Go On.” Morgan’s music is deeply personal, and her lyrics often explore themes of time, human nature, and the beauty of nature. She is currently working on a new album, “Either Way,” which is set to be released in full by January 2024. The album’s 13 songs will be released as singles, and Morgan plans to weave them together in multiple artistic ways. The second single from the album, “Be Still My Soul,” is out now. “Be Still My Soul” is a song that Morgan wrote during the depths of COVID-19 solitude. The song is a reminder to slow down and appreciate the beauty of nature and the pace of growth. The lyrics are deeply personal and reflect Morgan’s own journey through the pandemic, reminding us all that life will return to “normal” and that hopefully, it will be better and more balanced than ever. Morgan is grateful for the people who have been intimately involved with this record. She worked with producer Rob Neal Christian and guitarist Jeff Gunn to create the sound she envisioned for her new album. Album illustrations by Ameesha Lee Earnshaw and Andrew McCutcheon were also part of the creative process. Morgan lives outside of Toronto with her husband and two young sons. She is passionate about a lot of things aside from music but always finds her way back to the piano. She writes music constantly, in the car, on walks, in the shower, and of course, sitting alone at her piano, eyes closed and inspired by the art that surrounds her. Morgan Sadler is a talented musician whose music has been resonating with audiences for years. Her latest single, “Be Still My Soul,” is a reminder to slow down and appreciate the beauty of nature.
