Sparxsea is a talented musician whose life and music have been shaped by a tumultuous upbringing and the loss of loved ones. Raised in Maine by musical but abusive, alcoholic parents, Sparxsea’s childhood was marked by swings between two very different worlds. Despite these challenges, she persevered and became the first in her family to graduate college, working as a dentist while secretly dreaming of becoming a singer. The sudden loss of her mother sent Sparxsea into a deep depression that inspired her to release her EP SHINE in 2018. The record opened doors for her career and led to the release of her uplifting single “Alive” in 2016, which was later featured in the indie film Dole Mates. Sparxsea’s newest single, “Forever Love,” is a gentle and moving ode to the enduring power of love and the changing seasons of our lives. Written in the aftermath of a tumultuous seven-year relationship, “Forever Love” is a song of hope and healing, with soulful vocals and emotive drum work by Jerome Deupree of Morphine, tender classical guitar picking by Tim Reynolds of the Dave Matthews Band, and production by Will Bradford and Will Holland. “Forever Love” is a powerful and personal song that speaks to the struggles of loss and healing. If you’re a fan of soulful, emotive music, be sure to give “Forever Love” a listen.
