Real Pleasure is the artist project of writer/producer Kevin Claxton, formerly known as Vaya and Chicago Singles Club. His sound is heavily influenced by the sunny LA vibe, combining the grooves of classic 80s and 90s pop and dance with the left-field writing and production of Claxton’s indie art-pop roots. His newest track “Was It Love?” ft. Dorota Szuta is a laid-back, hazy memory of young love, backed by shimmering guitars, wavy synths, and a hint of indie-psych. The sweet and crooning vocal performance from Dorota Szuta adds to the nostalgic feeling of the track. Co-written by Claxton and Szuta and produced by Claxton in Los Angeles in the summer of 2022, “Was It Love?” is a perfect addition to any summer playlist. There are plenty of great places to listen to “Was It Love?” Whether you’re relaxing on the beach, driving with the windows down, or just enjoying a warm summer evening, this track is sure to set the mood. It’s also great for a romantic evening with that special someone, or for reminiscing about past loves. So if you’re in the mood for some nostalgic, laid-back pop and dance, give “Was It Love?” a listen. You won’t be disappointed.
