Astounding artist Restless Modern is a 25-year-old producer, singer, and songwriter currently based in Wisconsin. Born in Denver but raised as a Midwesterner outside of Chicago, he studied economics at Harvard before realizing that his internal calling to become an artist was perennial and impossible to tune out. He initially produced songs for other vocalists, most notably MOONZz’s “Navigator,” a pop record that went on to accumulate over 15 million streams and was synced in a national Hulu ad campaign. Soon thereafter, he began to write and perform his own music, influenced by artists such as The 1975, EDEN, My Chemical Romance, Lido, Bon Iver, Elton John, blackbear, Kanye West, and Frank Ocean. Over the course of roughly a year, Restless Modern honed his skills and developed a unique vision for his artist project by independently releasing over 30 singles. He then put out a transitional EP called scary sky that bridges his older work with the new world that will be introduced by his “a likeness complicit” EP in 2022. The Restless Modern fingerprint is an intuitive combination of controlled chaos, acerbic lyrical wit, hauntingly beautiful sonics, and an accessible nature that belies his music’s earnest and substantive messaging. With this, he has earned over 23 million Spotify streams and inclusions on notable editorial playlists like Pop Rising, young & free, sad hour, and Good Vibes. He has also been featured on outlets such as Billboard, Lyrical Lemonade, MTV, and Atwood. Following the release of his newest single “Give It All You’ve Got” he projects a nostalgic sound that will definitely intrigue your attention.
