Talented artist Grace Kuraska is a Connecticut native making her way into the industry. After spending many years holed up in her bedroom, secretly writing songs, the singer/songwriter is ready to unveil her music to the public. Inspired by the likes of Taylor Swift, Lorde, Carole King, Alanis Morrissette, and more, Kuraska has a diaristic approach to songwriting. Kuraska began writing lyrics as a kid and thought of it as nothing more than an after-school hobby before it started blossoming into something bigger. After picking up the guitar and keyboard, she began to hone in on her songwriting and use it as an emotional and cathartic outlet. After collaborating with producer Alex Houton of AHM Media, Kuraska recorded three original songs to release to streaming services. The indie-pop singer has released two self-written tracks, “Can You?” and “Bitter End”. With the release of her newest single “Torn”, she projects a dreamy sound that will certainly captivate your attention. Starting with soothing instrumentation leading onto her soft and sultry vocals she completes the song entirely. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about open-ended feelings. It’s about not having closure with someone in the past and having to navigate those emotions while exploring a relationship with someone new, and someone who’s actually good for you. To the vocals and production, this single will surely have you vibing and possibly relating to the lyrics. Being just perfect for a drive during sunset or alone within your thoughts. Go stream “Torn”.
