Upcoming artist Jyme was born in Portugal but moved to California after his father received a job offer, his mother was a kindergarten teacher, and his father was a computer engineer. There was always a guitar lying around the house which was the beginning of a few Spanish songs and the Pink Panther theme song was played. Jazz and songs of Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Steele Dan, The Rolling Stones, and The Beatles filled the air every weekend when his father was off work. Jyme only truly began his musical practice out of high school and moved to London right after he graduated. He taught himself on the streets of London how to sing and entertain a crowd and worked on songwriting with the motto “you must live a life worth writing about” in his head. After many adventures, he formed a band in which he lived with but after a fistfight with the drummer, he packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles where he attended Musicians Institute for a six-month Independent Artist course. He then produced and recorded his own music learning more from youtube. He collaborated and learned with as many people as he could honing in on his craft, In 2019 he sparked the Interest of Legendary producer and songwriter Dallas Austin and signed a distribution deal, and began a collaboration. He since released an EP and a few singles and is working on a few songs with Dallas. With the release of his newest single “U.F.O’s,” he presents a captivating sound that will certainly intrigue your ears. Beginning with vibrant instrumentation leading onto his sweet and luscious vocals he completes the song entirely. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about meeting a special girl and wanting to experience every aspect of life with her, knowing you feel safe with her and never wanting to leave her side.
