Astounding artist Bad Heather is the alter ego of 22-year-old Utah native Porter Chapman. As a teen, Porter was hand-chosen by Andrew Tolman (The Moth and the Flame, Imagine Dragons) to be the drummer for The Moth & the Flame’s 2019 national tour. Despite his young age, Porter built a reputation as a sought-after drummer and has performed shows as a featured performer at Carnegie Hall, as well as, on tour with members of The Killers, Neon Trees, and the Dave Matthews Band. As he graduated high school, Porter was courted by some of the most prestigious music programs in the world. He turned down their offers to pursue his own path as a musician, songwriter, producer, and performer. Following the release of his newest single “One Pass,” he projects a thrilling sound that will certainly intrigue your attention. Starting with upbeat instrumentation leading onto his smooth and intoxicating vocals he captures the song fully. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about being attracted to someone else in a relationship. Just physical though, with no relationship. When you’re single, you’re surrounded by sex positivity. Everyone is telling you to have as much casual sex as you want, but when you’re in a relationship, suddenly you have to turn all of those desires off. He’s not telling anyone what to do in this situation, just what he’s feeling. To the vocals and production, this single will surely have you jamming out. It would be just great for a late-night drive or alone within your thoughts. Go stream “One Pass” and check out his discography which is filled with amazing tracks.
