Upcoming artist Morning Silk is a New York-based alternative indie pop recording project led by Frank Corr. Working with producers such as Matthew Lancaster, Eamon Ford, Robert Norris, and Caroline Sans, Morning Silk will deliver a debut self-titled record this year. Starting with a KEXP premiere of the album’s lead single “Don’t Try Hard Enough,” the record begins to explore a future with the addition of heavy synths and synth bass in the sonic palette. Following the release of his newest single “Not The Only One” he projects a nostalgic sound that will certainly grasp your attention. Beginning with dreamy instrumentation leading onto his sweet and sultry vocals he completes the song fully. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about building his studio and picking himself up from a depressive episode he had at the end of his senior year in college. All he wanted to do was make music, but he was in a hostile environment that wouldn’t support that. The lyrics dig into telling the world what he really wants, yet he has nothing to show for it. To the vocals and production, this single will surely have you vibing. Being just perfect for a late-night drive or a walk down the beach after dawn. Go stream “Not The Only Way” and check out his discography which is filled with amazing music.
