Introducing a talented artist known as Terry Jay born out of Louisville, Ky. He developed his style through the love of the south side trap and 2000s melodic R&B. His biggest influences are J. Cole, Bryson Tiller, and His father. His father, Terrance Sr., was the Exec. Producer for Nappy Roots and seeing behind the scenes made him want to be on the front lines. Following the release of his newest EP To The Soul, he displays a nice array of tracks but our favorite would have to be “Burn”, he projects a captivating sound that will definitely intrigue your ears. Beginning with booming instrumentation leading onto his smooth and laid-back vocals he completes the song fully. Explaining the track a bit further it’s about the current societal climate we currently live in. Believing being built on a broken foundation will always present the same problems, maybe we should let it burn. To the vocals and production, this single will surely have your head bumping. Being just perfect for a late-night drive or hanging with some friends. Go stream “Burn” and check out his discography which is filled with outstanding music.
