Upcoming duo Brother Alfred was formed by Julius Sihvonen and Mathias Hermansson, the duo was immediately signed to Playground Music after their debut show. They have also gained popularity in Oslo, Norway, where their songs are streamed almost as much as in their hometown Helsinki. Though Brother Alfred is a new project, the musicians behind the project are experienced and well seasoned. Mathias Hermansson is previously known for the band Sima, and Julius Sihvonen is previously known as Nefer Nefer. Following the release of their newest single “Vertigo”, they present a nostalgic sound that will surely intrigue your attention. Starting with soothing instrumentation leading onto their soft and luscious vocals they complete the song entirely. Explaining the track a bit further it’s a dreamy journey of love through different times and different spaces. ‘’We wanted to make a very visual and movie-like song that lives in nostalgia and mystical Murakami-Esque visions in different manifestations of love.’’ To the vocals and production, this single will definitely have you vibing, wanting to be dancing to this song in a field of sunflowers.
