Oustanding act Ian The Idiot is a Los Angeles born-and-raised independent artist. He’s been writing and recording songs DIY for over 15 years, starting as a kid in his dad’s garage. While studying literature, he played in a number of bands around the city’s “indie circuit,” including the bands Pkwy, Small Forward, and Yucky Bangs. He currently lives in Hawthorne, CA (hometown of his favorite band of all time, The Beach Boys) with his wife and two kids. He quietly gets by as a graphic designer in some corporation. Life is challenging, everyone’s is. But he’s very fortunate all around. He’s trying to make music that makes people feel good, both about themselves and about the world. He wants to be a warm light to those who are insecure. With the release of his newest single “James Dean,” he presents a bright sound that will certainly captivate your attention. Starting with dreamy instrumentation leading onto his sweet and lively vocals he captures the song entirely. Explaining the track further it’s about a poetic parallel conversation between the idea of being young and beautiful in post-war America with the idea of being young, pregnant, and working-class in the 21st century. To the vocals and production, this single will definitely have you vibing. It would be just perfect for a drive after sunset or a day out on the beach. Go stream “James Dean” and check out his discography which is filled with amazing music.
