Introducing an amazing trio known as Neon Fields they’re from South-West UK who combine dark industrial rock with atmospheric synth and vocals packed with passion and emotion, to create their brand of Indie Electronic Rock. Their first single ‘Light Them Up’ was described as “a complete masterpiece” by ERB Radio and, after the release of their second single ‘Cage of Lions’, KMS Reviews described their signature style as ‘sophisticated darkness’. Formed in 2020 by Ed Barrett (lead vocals), Luke Russe (drums), and Piers Ward (keyboards/guitar), they have just released their fourth single ‘Rituals’. Their four releases are available on all streaming services and their explosive music video for ‘Light Them Up’ can be found on YouTube. Following the release of their newest single “Meant To Be” they project a very captivating sound that will certainly intrigue your ears. Beginning with vibrant instrumentation leading onto their sweet and touching vocals they complete the song entirely. Explaining the track a bit further it’s a story of unrequited love and obsession. The love interest is a girl who was serving behind the counter at a coffee shop. The voice recording we hear in the instrumental is a recording he took without her knowing when getting his coffee. He gives her a compliment which she finds creepy but remains friendly, saying: “Oh thank you… Have a nice day”. From this encounter, he invents the rest in his head. Convinced that the smile she gave him that day had deep meaning behind it. That she felt the same way. He becomes more obsessed with her and convinced they’re ‘Meant To Be’. Now when he visits the coffee shop she actively avoids him. He can’t understand why her feelings for him have changed when in fact they were never there in the first place. Regardless, the only one he needs is her and he won’t let go. They are meant to be. To the vocals and production this song will definitely have you vibing.
