Talented artist Miynt holds a signature blend of psych-rock and lo-fi grunge with a distinct pop songwriting sensibility that has captivated fans since her 2016 debut project, Ep no. 1, which boasted singles “The Strangest Game,” “After The Gold Rush,” and “Cool.” DIY described the EP’s tracklist as “glitter-flecked pop songs that blaze a completely different trail,” adding to further support from The FADER, Stereogum, SPIN, KCRW, and Zane Lowe / Apple Music 1. Since her debut, Miynt has stayed occupied in the Stockholm arts scene, playing various live shows and notably assembling a 4-piece band for the Miynt project. She has also delved into the world of analog production and recording live instrumentals. Much of her new material is also self-produced, a skill that Miynt continues to hone. With the release of her newest single “station station,” she presents a very nostalgic sound that will definitely intrigue your ears. Starting with soothing instrumentation leading onto her sweet and raspy vocals she completes the track fully. To explain the song a bit further it’s about feeling like you are in a dream surrounded by all pretty things but still having that emptiness of wanting someone filled by your love and also craving it, moving “station station” to find that love. To the vocals and production, this song will certainly have you wanting to be on a field of sunflowers dancing around. It would be just perfect for a late night drive or a walk by the beach. Go stream “station station” and check out her discography which is filled with astounding tracks.
