A transformative experience came in September 2023 when Alexandra John joined LAAMP, a prestigious nine-month music program in Santa Monica led by Stargate’s Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Erikson. The program pushed Liza and Weston to new creative heights, refining their craft through intensive collaboration and mentorship. Reflecting on the experience, Liza described it as both a musical and personal evolution, while Weston highlighted the unparalleled opportunity for creative synergy.
Their newest single, “Taking Off,” marks a significant chapter in their journey. Co-written with David Blackwood and Zachary S. Cohan, the track combines dance pop and disco with anthemic lyrics and Liza’s silky vocals, creating a nostalgic yet fresh listening experience.
