He and his producer, Mike, wanted the song’s lyrics to mimic the feel of those adverts but with a twist—this time, it’s an advert for crying.
Ash believes that crying is far more important than any material possession, such as a flashy car or a new sofa. “Sometimes, crying is the only way to get something out of your system,” Ash explains. He hopes that “Cry Cry Cry” will help people see crying in a different light, as a healthy and necessary emotional release. The single’s infectious melody and heartfelt lyrics create a perfect balance, making it a standout track that is sure to resonate with listeners.
